ABOUT ME

Hello, and welcome to Metal Movements. My name is Dom and I’m a Phoenix, Arizona-based trainer and trainee.

I’ve spent more than half my time on this earth exploring various styles of training. Starting with strength & conditioning geared toward different sports growing up, to years of being surrounded by bodybuilding culture in a gym setting, to learning the fundamentals of powerlifting, to partaking in endurance training for Ironmans, to incorporating mobility & flexibility, to longevity-based functional training, and more. Fitness has been a constant in my life, and I will always be a student of this game.

I’ve specialized in leading various strength-based sports programs for young athletes, as well as conducting both group & 1-on-1 one training environments. I’m NASM-Certified, and am always eager to both continue my education in the fitness space, as well as share my current knowledge.

Outside of fitness & training, I have many (too many) hobbies that keep me active and competitive. Some of my favorites are Dirt Biking, Snowboarding, Wake Surfing, Longboarding, Hiking, Volleyball, Basketball, Cycling/Gravel Biking, Running, Swimming, Kayaking, Yoga, and Ping-Pong. I’m a huge metalhead and will always incorporate metal culture wherever I can.

I am always delving into the world of health and wellness. I’ll be sharing blogs in this space about my favorite topics from food & nutrition, cold exposure, red-light therapy, Myopractic bodywork, breathwork, biohacking, and much more.

Metal Movements’ area of focus is Functional Kettlebell Training. Years of wear & tear from impact sports and powerlifting led me right to the Kettlebell, which has been life-changing. The Kettlebell has helped me move better, look better, feel significantly better, regain much of the athleticism I had lost over the years, prevent injuries, and understand an entirely new dynamic of how to train.

My goal is simply to share what I’ve learned and continue to learn with anybody who is seeking an introduction to the Kettlebell.

I look forward to connecting with you and helping you move and feel well!
